Career background
I have been practicing as a lawyer since 1993 after graduating from the University of Auckland and being admitted to the bar in the same year.

My everyday work includes business start ups, business sales and purchases, advising on and creating business entities and effective business and property ownership structures, tax advice, business restructuring, land purchases, residential and commercial land developments.

I have been fortunate to have been involved in a range of complex and significant commercial transactions both in Tauranga, and in the South Island where I practiced for 9 years, for both New Zealand clients and overseas investors.

I have also advised and worked on immigration applications and Overseas Investment Act approvals. I have been assisting migrants to resolve immigration, overseas investment and property issues since 1999. I am a past contributor to Butterworths Immigration Law Review (Australia).

What I get out of my work
My service goal is to offer innovative and accurate legal services.

The practice of commercial law is integrally entwined with evolving business practices and advances. Solutions to everyday business challenges hold a particular interest for me.

I get a lot of satisfaction at both a personal and professional level from developing ongoing client relationships.

Other interests
I am an outdoor activities enthusiast. I enjoy exploring new mountain biking trails, boats with nice lines and getting out on the water. I am a former Rotary Club President and a member of various voluntary organisations.
